According to a study, a deficiency in vitamin D can cause early death.

According to scholarly research, persons who are exposed to the sun frequently are more likely to live longer than those who are only occasionally exposed.

According to a University of South Australia study, a vitamin D deficiency can cause an early death.

Calcium and phosphate levels in the body are regulated with the aid of vitamin D. To maintain strong bones, teeth, and muscles, these nutrients are necessary.

While severe vitamin D deficiency is less common in Australia than it is elsewhere in the world, it can still have an impact on elderly people, people with preexisting medical conditions, and people who do not get enough vitamin D from dietary or healthy sun exposure sources.

"We employed a new genetic tool to explore and confirm the non-linear associations that we've seen in observational settings, and via this we were able to present solid evidence for the relationship between low vitamin D status and early death," he continued.

It has been difficult to establish a causal link between vitamin D deficiency and mortality because clinical trials frequently fail to enrol participants who have low levels of vitamin D or forbid them from participating.

The study was released in the Annals of Internal Medicine journal.
